With a flair for design and natural zest for life,
Design Consultant Alexis Frecska has been creating
personal Paradises in Residential and Commercial Spaces
throughout the Baltimore / D.C. area since 2002.
Born with a
strong European mix of French and Hungarian blood, Alexis has always
been attracted to beautiful accessories, luxurious fabrics and
trimmings. As a little girl, she constantly re-arranged her
bedroom furniture, and spent untold hours decorating and
re-decorating the custom dollhouses created by her father.
Her careful attention to detail then became a natural bridge to
Interior Design as an adult, and Alexis now enjoys designing spaces
for "Big People" as well as children of all ages.
Today, Alexis’ eye for color and harmony is frequently the number
one compliment from her clients, and her ability to create spaces
that are beautiful yet livable is amazing. Having lived abroad in
Luxembourg and Denmark for many years, Alexis is familiar with the
richness that varying cultures can bring, and she is naturally adept
at blending contrasting styles that maintain their individuality yet
harmonize effortlessly.
With a smile, Alexis
often refers to herself as a built-in nanny, confidante, couples
counselor, and “Zen Friend” because she feels such a personal
affinity with her clients and every project feels like it were her
own space undergoing transformation. Clients have often stated that
an hour with Alexis is a burst of high energy – filled with fun and
laughter – and lots of lists! (She is known as Detail Queen for her
meticulous follow-up emails containing pages of information and “To
Do” lists…).
Alexis is an Associate
Member of IDS (Interior Design Society), Specialists in Residential
Interior DesignSM.
Alexis is also a
Certified Feng Shui Practitioner, and a member of the American
Naturopathic and Holistic Association of Arlington, VA.
