What is Your Organizing Style?
Commander In Chief
Are You
 |
Goal-driven, able to work quickly and intensely? |
 |
Someone who really does complete “To Do” Lists by the end of each
day? |
 |
A techno-gadget junkie, who prefers a paperless environment
whenever possible? |
 |
Someone who loves to reward achievement with the best toys or
material goods available? |
Your Challenges May Be
 |
Asking for help. You work best in a minimalist environment, but
don’t have the time or patience to maintain it. You need to delegate
– hire someone if needed. |
 |
Taking time out for yourself – “all work and no play” is not a
balance lifestyle. Your home may be beautifully organized and
functional, but do you relax? |
 |
Deciding what to keep and where to put it – you live for instant
information at your fingertips but your love for data can overwhelm
your space, physically or electronically. What do you REALLY need at
hand? |
 |
Too much minimalism. You prefer to only have what you need, and
you don’t stock up on anything unless your analysis shows a high use
factor. You don’t have a plan for unplanned events. Try to loosen up
a little – a few extra bottles of good wine will always go to good
use. |
You May Prefer to Organize With
 |
An easy to operate, multi-functional PDA (i.e. Blackberry, Droid,
Palm). But don’t get sidetracked by gadgets. You love tech toys, but
they will only annoy you and you hate wasting money.
|
 |
Hire an assistant. You have the resources to delegate the job of
keeping you/ your home organized, so stop trying to do everything
yourself. |
 |
Storage: though not an issue for you, (being rather unsentimental
about “things”, you purge frequently) storage for you means sleek,
functional, highly attractive and the best quality available. For
example, matching wood or satin wrapped hangers (you hate wire,
would make do with plastic – if attractive.), monogrammed canvas
garment bags (no plastic again.), heavy, clear acrylic boxes, lined
shelves or drawers. |
